Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Endoscopy Instructor to join our team at Houston Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of endoscopy, providing expert instruction and guidance to ensure students achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Endoscopy Instructor will be responsible for:
1. Teaching and mentoring students in the field of endoscopy, including lecture and laboratory instruction.
2. Developing and implementing curriculum and course materials that meet the needs of students and the college.
3. Evaluating student progress and providing feedback to students and faculty members.
4. Maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment, adhering to college policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Participating in departmental and college-wide initiatives, including professional development and committee work.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the Endoscopy Instructor must have:
1. A minimum of three years of experience in an endoscopy setting, including a wide range of endoscopy experience and clinical or classroom education skills.
2. A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, or a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, licensed registered nurse, or licensed doctor in Texas with extensive experience in endoscopy.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
4. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. A commitment to student-centered learning and a passion for teaching and mentoring students in the field of endoscopy.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience teaching and mentoring students in a clinical or academic setting.
2. A master's degree or higher in a related field, or a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, licensed registered nurse, or licensed doctor in Texas with extensive experience in endoscopy.
3. Certification as an endoscopy technician or a related field.
4. Experience with curriculum development and implementation, including the use of technology and innovative teaching methods.
