Job Summary

The IT Site Administrator will provide hands-on technical support and coordination of all Technology Services requirements at assigned locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring that PCs and servers comply with corporate standards, that computers are patched, and that servers are backed up, secured, properly sized, and monitored.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on maintenance and production support of the organization's computing needs, including 24x7 on-call support.
  • Work with other IT groups to ensure that PCs and servers comply with corporate standards.
  • Install service packs, upgrade software, and replace hardware to ensure that systems and hardware remain current and supported.
  • Coordinate IT activities to support Technology Services and business system projects.
  • Develop, implement, and test high availability solutions for critical business systems.
  • Conduct ongoing activities in compliance with IT Policies and Procedures, including Change Management Procedures.
  • Work closely with vendors to configure, install, and upgrade software and hardware to support local needs.
  • Work with local associates and corporate staff to assess if proposed systems comply with corporate IT standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical support role supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Proven project management skills and a strong service orientation.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong team player with the ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to deadlines and the willingness to meet the needs of a 24x7 computing environment.
