Grocery Sales Associate

At New Leaf Community Markets, we're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our products are accurately priced and stocked.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fills customer orders by obtaining items from shelves, freezers, coolers, bins, tables, or containers.
• Stocks shelves, dairy cases, and other areas of the department.
• Assures that all items in the dairy box are in-code and well within their expiration date.
• Rotates stock to assure high quality, and fresh merchandise at all times.
• Required to operate a cash register following established policies and procedures.
• Accurately prices all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags/signs.
• Assures daily price changes are done accurately and completed before the store opens; maintaining price integrity at all times.
• Monitors pull dates on all Grocery merchandise.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and frequently use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasional requirement to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
