Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist to fill a 13-week contract position at a healthcare facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This opportunity offers a chance to work with a variety of patients and develop your skills as a sonographer.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a travel sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations on patients according to departmental protocols.
Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
Maintain accurate records of patient information and exam results.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
A valid Ultrasound Technologist license in the state of South Dakota.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound technology, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and departmental software.
