The selected candidate will work as a Travel Electrophysiology Technician in Boston, Massachusetts, and be responsible for assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias through specialized procedures in the electrophysiology lab.
About the JobThe ideal candidate will have experience working in an electrophysiology lab or cardiac cath lab and hold certifications such as RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist). They will operate advanced equipment, monitor patient vitals, and ensure accurate placement of catheters and devices during procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Procedural Preparation: Prepare the electrophysiology lab for procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Diagnostics and Therapeutics: Assist in diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, pacemaker insertions, and implantable cardioverter defibrillator placements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain specialized EP lab equipment, such as 3D mapping systems, stimulators, and recording systems.
- Patient Monitoring: Monitor and record patient vitals and intracardiac signals during procedures, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Certifications: Hold certifications such as RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist).
- Experience: Previous experience in an electrophysiology lab or cardiac cath lab preferred.
