Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee the production of construction drawings, specifications, design calculations, and technical reports.
  • Develop engineer's opinions on probable construction costs.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant municipal agencies.
  • Delegate and supervise design tasks assigned to Technicians, Designers, and Staff Engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary design teams, owners, and contractors to resolve project clarifications, conflicts, and changes during construction.
  • Conduct site investigations and inspections during and after construction.
  • Assist in preparing proposals for engineering services.
  • Help monitor project budgets and billing, as well as assist with accounts receivable.
  • Mentor and train Technicians, Designers, and Staff Engineers.
  • Engage in business development activities as required.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules while overseeing the technical work of team members.
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and labor requirements to determine project costs.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Sign and seal drawings or other necessary documentation in accordance with division and firm policies.
  • Adhere to DMA's employee and safety manuals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
