Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at East Coast Metal Distributors. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver products to customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Verify and document inventory shipments, ensuring accurate quantities and items
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Provide support to warehouse operations as needed, including loading and unloading trucks
  • Assist with counter sales, answering customer inquiries, and resolving issues
  • Participate in Fork Truck Safety and Operations training and certification
  • Use material handling equipment safely and correctly
  • Notify management of any discrepancies, needed service, or unsafe conditions
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in counter sales, HVAC, or customer service desired
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a traditional office setting and a warehouse environment that may be dimly lit with exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles. Physical demands include lifting equipment components, parts, and machinery up to 20 pounds, standing, bending, and walking.
