About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Markets Director to join our team at Wintrust Financial. As a key member of our Financial Markets & Funds Group, you will be responsible for cultivating long-term relationships with institutional asset management clients and outside professional contacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop existing portfolio by assessing and meeting client's business and personal needs
  • Increase the Bank's profitability by cultivating new institutional asset management relationships
  • Negotiate proper loan structure and effectively cross sell products
  • Keep properly documented files and manage renewals and collection efforts on past dues and defaulted loans
  • Sustain comprehensive understanding of current commercial products offered in the market and keeps informed of all relevant industry trends and practices
  • Build and nurture a professional network of contacts and referral sources
  • Maintain a stable network of prospective customers with a consistent approach to calling
  • Mentor junior team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
  • Minimum 10 years' experience lending to the institutional asset management industry
  • Knowledge of the financial markets and alternative investment industry is essential
  • Exhibits exemplary communication skills (both verbal and written) and executive presence
  • Successful track record of driving new business growth and developing well-rounded client relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret the principles of accounting, credit, and finance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations covering commercial banking activities
  • High ethical standards and personal integrity
