We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant/Medication Aide to join our exceptional team at Birmingham Green, a person-centered care focus community located in Virginia. As a reputable facility with over 91 years of experience, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality and affordable care to our residents.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer remuneration commensurate with experience, up to $24.75 per hour based on qualifications. Our competitive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, legal guard plan, and pet insurance. Additionally, employees can accrue up to 240 hours of paid time off, enjoy 10 Paid Holidays, and participate in Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing prescribed personal care services for residents under the direction of the Nurse Manager. This includes assisting with self-administration of medicines, monitoring medication supplies, and documenting activities through Point of Care (POC) and other established systems. The Medication Aide will also prepare and administer medication when necessary, following established procedures and standards to ensure resident comfort and safety.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a Current Certified Nursing Assistant license, a Current Medication Aide license, and a High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). A minimum of six months of hands-on experience in a skilled or long term care facility is required, along with CPR certification and First Aid certification. Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to the senior population and familiarity with Point of Care (POC).
