Key Responsibilities:
As an Estate Planning and Trust Counsel, your duties will include:
1.
Drafting, reviewing, and modifying a diverse range of estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Advising clients on the legal and tax ramifications of their estate planning decisions.3. Assisting clients with philanthropic planning, including the establishment and management of charitable trusts and foundations.
4. Formulating tax strategies to reduce estate, gift, and income taxes for clients.
5. Representing clients in probate court and trust administration proceedings.
6. Staying informed about updates in tax and estate planning legislation.
7. Collaborating with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
1. A Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law institution.
2. An LLM in Tax or an equivalent advanced legal qualification.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and trust law.
4. In-depth knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, probate, and tax regulations.
5. Proven experience in charitable planning and tax strategy formulation.
6. Strong drafting abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. The capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
9. Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
