Position Overview:
The role of the Electrician at Nestlé USA in Springville, UT involves working as an Industrial Electrical Mechanic. This position focuses on diagnosing and resolving issues related to plant power distribution, motor control, and PLC systems.
What We Offer:
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts with built-in overtime and 7 consecutive days off each month.
- Competitive starting pay ranging from $33 to $40 per hour, based on experience and skills.
- Potential for an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential.
- Quarterly incentive bonuses.
- Comprehensive benefits package available after 30 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize various testing equipment such as megger, DMM, oscilloscope, and amprobe for instrument calibration.
- Interpret engineering drawings and maintain updated documentation.
- Work with both digital and analog electronics, including logic circuits and triac power controls.
- Maintain accurate records, including equipment logs and job orders.
- Adhere to the Springville Compass in all work-related activities.
- Engage in the Springville upskilling program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree or equivalent in Electrical Automation or Electrical Technology with at least 2 years of industrial electrical experience within the last year.
- Willingness to work weekends, shutdowns, and various shifts as required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Understanding of basic electrical equipment operations.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems.
- Familiarity with basic computer programming, including PLCs and operator interfaces.
Desired Skills:
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Understanding of circuit boards, schematics, assembly, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of temperature control systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
- Capability to complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks accurately and promptly.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred.
- Experience in a highly automated environment is advantageous.
