Key Features of the Position:
- Comprehensive Outpatient and Inpatient Gastroenterology Services
- Full range of adult gastroenterology care (patients aged 18 and older)
- Immediate patient load with an established volume
- Robust primary care referral network
- Support from Advanced Practice Providers
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) services available
- Office conveniently located near the hospital
- Ambulatory Outpatient Care Center operational five days a week for procedures
- Regular Ambulatory Outpatient Procedures conducted at the hospital
- ERCP training preferred, but not mandatory
Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing and managing patients with the necessary medical diagnostic and treatment expertise.
- Contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency and quality of patient care.
- Receiving patient referrals from fellow physicians and serving as a consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
- Engaging in educational and research activities as needed.
- Providing documentation that complies with insurance requirements and addressing any denials promptly.
- Participating in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may involve on-call duties.
Educational Qualifications:
- Board certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Possession of an active Michigan medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program
Compensation Package:
