Millwright Specialist

IMI Industrial Services Group is a leading provider of industrial contracting services, delivering high-quality projects from concept to commission. We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in the Covington, GA area.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment in industrial settings, adhering to construction plans and blueprints.
• Apply mathematical skills to accurately measure and calculate dimensions, ensuring precise alignment and installation.
• Assemble and install equipment, including shafting, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps, utilizing hoists, lift trucks, and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, calipers, and plumb bobs.
• Work at heights, utilizing logical step-by-step procedures for work, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making based on quantifiable information.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
• NCCER certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
• Work indoors and outdoors, including times of inclement weather.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
• Highly safety-conscious and able to see and escape from dangerous situations.
• Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.
