About the Job

Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Kansas.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to work in our state-of-the-art imaging facility. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for cardiovascular procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and administering medications as needed.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines, to capture high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and supplies, and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist in a hospital or imaging facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
