Radiology Research Administrator Job Summary

The Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging at the Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Research Administrator to join our dynamic research team. This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule, allowing for remote work and on-site collaboration.

The successful candidate will serve as a key member of our team, playing a crucial role in managing the financial and administrative aspects of our research projects. This position ensures the accuracy of sponsored program expenditures and ensures compliance with federal, state, sponsor, and university rules and regulations.

Responsibilities include preparing and/or certifying account reconciliations, processing supplier invoice requests, creating purchase orders, preparing/submitting reimbursements, and creating journal transfers/accounting adjustments for multiple awards.

Additionally, the Research Administrator will provide financial oversight, compliance guidance, and administrative support in regard to sponsor and institutional regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and have excellent analytical and numerical abilities, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, as well as the ability to research, analyze, balance, and/or reconcile financial data.

Requirements
  • At least two years of grant and contract experience for a Grants and Contracts Specialist
  • At least three years of grant and contract experience for a Grants and Contracts Administrator
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification is preferred

This is a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job occasionally requires traveling to attend meetings and programs.
