Job Overview

Top Tier Reps LLC is seeking a skilled Associate to enhance our Restructuring and Litigation practice. The ideal candidate will possess three to four years of relevant experience in areas such as workouts, restructuring, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, corporate law, or finance law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent financial institutions and senior secured lenders in various corporate bankruptcy scenarios, including out-of-court workouts, enforcement actions, contract disputes, and other commercial litigation matters.
  • Provide expert advice on Uniform Commercial Code compliance, as well as federal and state regulatory matters affecting both consumers and institutions.
  • Facilitate mediations, conduct depositions for both expert and lay witnesses, and represent clients during hearings.
  • Draft and negotiate essential restructuring documents, including DIP financing agreements and forbearance agreements.
  • Engage in the negotiation and preparation of settlement agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a member in good standing or eligible for waiver into the Illinois Bar.
  • Demonstrated strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, oral communication, research, writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Proven negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience in motions practice.
  • Understanding of business, industry, and market dynamics.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours and extended hours when necessary.
