Job Summary

This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal care and treatment to the patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders, utilizing independent judgment and applying learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  2. Educate patients and families regarding procedures and/or treatments to be performed, demonstrating professional behavior and conduct in all interactions.
  3. Produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation, maintaining accurate documentation.
  4. Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures, adhering to established policies.
  5. Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice, maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  7. Assure the efficient operation of workflow in the department, monitoring and maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
Requirements

Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is also required. State Licensure is required for AZ, WY, NV, and includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire. Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography is required within 18 months of hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board – NMTCB (CT). Certification for BLS is required.

This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with two years of experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data, and solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
