About the Role

Pioneer Human Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents, staff, and visitors, while providing quality services that promote successful community living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Program & Facility Safety:
    • Remove garbage from each floor at the beginning and end of shift, transporting cans on wheels to the garbage compactors and recycling bins.
    • Clean common area floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waxing as needed.
    • Clean and sanitize lavatories and wash basins, clean mirrors, walls, and wash room floors.
    • Complete pre-approved maintenance items as requested.
    • Report any maintenance problems or issues identified while conducting building rounds in a timely manner to the Facility Manager.
  • Maintain Documentation:
    • Maintain an inventory of supplies needed to perform required duties.
    • Perform monthly inspections as requested.
  • Participant Engagement:
    • Respond to residents' concerns and provide assistance as indicated.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with the Facility Managers and Program Manager to ensure issues and problems are addressed in a timely fashion.
  • Pioneer Human Services Expectations:
    • Represent the company's Core Values, department, and self by maintaining a high degree of personal professionalism.
    • Be aware of and ensure compliance with all Company requirements and procedures.
    • Accept responsibility for mentorship and guidance of new and support employees.
