Mental Health Support Specialist

At BayCare Health System, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of compassion and respect. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at St. Joseph's in Tampa, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Promote communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assist with physical care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Promote coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls, and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.
Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- FL Driver's License.
- Preferred: Associate's degree in Healthcare or Psychology, or CNA/PCT certification.
- Preferred experience: 6 months in psychology-based settings.
