Position: Project Manager - Heavy Civil
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $110,000 Annually
The Project Manager is accountable for comprehensive project planning, scheduling, resource distribution, financial oversight, and compliance controls. This role also entails providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety, quality, and cost management for each project.
- Administer all contractual documents and obligations.
- Prepare and manage all necessary submissions to clients and general contractors.
- Directly manage subcontractors, workforce, equipment, material procurement, and develop and maintain project timelines.
- Handle the preparation and submission of payment applications, claims, and change order documentation.
- Evaluate project performance utilizing appropriate methodologies and tools.
- Finalize contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Participate in field job meetings and communicate any scheduling conflicts related to site operations and various trades.
- Supervise tasks assigned to the Project Engineer.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to organize and lead a team effectively.
- Strong time management and logistical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to Safety, Quality, and Accountability.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks and performing well under pressure.
- Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings thoroughly.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and/or other project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of project management experience in site work, excavation, and underground utilities.
