Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Leader to join our team at Kroger. As a Meat Department Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates in the meat department, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of associates to achieve sales and customer service goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Product Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all products are handled, stored, and displayed in a safe and sanitary manner.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that products meet company standards.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that products are always available to meet customer demand.
    • Monitor and control inventory costs to ensure that they are within budget.
  • Training and Development
    • Train and develop associates to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to associates to help them improve their performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in the meat department or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
