Job Title: Special Education Teacher/Coordinator

MGRM Pinnacle, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Teacher/Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our educational services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students with special needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Coordination: Coordinate overall administrative activities for the SPED Office, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Special Education Services: Coordinate special education services for all Pinnacle Schools, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and alignment with company goals and values.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel, and company business, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
  • Program Development: Plan and coordinate the Special Education program for MGRM Pinnacle, Inc., ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and alignment with company goals and values.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as the program's liaison with parents, students, and others, meeting with teachers, students, and parents to determine and discuss service needs and delivery.
  • Student Intervention: Create student intervention practices and procedures that will increase student engagement, retention, academic performance, and a positive learning environment.
  • Service Delivery: Ensure delivery of superior student services in select programs, including Specially Designed Instruction, for students in grades 6-12 within a multi-site environment.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all services delivered are compliant with approved programs and related Department of Education standards, preparing and reporting all program-related data to the state and Charter Board.
  • Internal Reviews and Audits: Establish and perform periodic internal reviews of all data and activities, successfully completing all required audits by independent auditors and government agencies.
  • Student Placement: Coordinate and supervise services provided to students identified as eligible for special education, monitoring the placement of students on and off-site special education programs.
  • IEP Meetings: Act as LEA at individual education plan (IEP) meetings for students eligible for special education whose services are provided by public-private schools.
  • Assistive Technology: Monitor students' needs for assistive technology required for access to the general curriculum.
  • Special Education Reports: Hold responsibility for submission of special education reports to regulatory agencies in AZED.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain lines of communication among students, parents, and staff involved with special education programs, interacting with community and state agencies as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with some experience in Special Education.
  • Teaching Experience: Previous or current classroom teaching experience or equivalent.
  • Certification: Arizona State Teaching Certificate preferred.
  • Software Expertise: Expert in IEPPRO software.
