About the Role
As a Corporate Counsel on the Legal team at Neighborly, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's business objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform legal matters as designated by your supervising attorney to support the company's business operations.
- Gain legal experience, knowledge, and expertise to support Neighborly on a day-to-day basis, in various areas of the law, including franchise law, intellectual property law, contract law, employment law, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and more.
- Advise assigned brands on legal issues, balancing risk and business interests.
- Develop strategy for managing and resolving franchise issues, litigation, and pre-litigation disputes.
- Coordinate with outside counsel to represent the company's best interest.
Requirements
- Experience: License to practice law.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, proactive, innovative, and creative problem solver, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: JD degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Schedule / in-office requirements: Monday – Friday, in office.
