About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Attendant to join our team at Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics. As an integral part of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse, maintaining constant visualization of patients and completing personal care tasks as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, demonstrating a commitment to meeting the needs of the patient population.
  • Observe and report any patient condition changes to the Primary Nurse, ensuring timely interventions and care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience in an acute care setting
  • High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Current Salem Health employee preferred
  • Strong medical terminology
  • Demonstrated dedication to good interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and patients
