Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN Behavioral Health PRN to join our team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial and ongoing physical and nursing assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in treatment team conferences to collaborate with healthcare professionals and revise patient care plans as needed.
  • Implement nursing plans of care for assigned patients and conduct group therapy sessions to promote patient well-being.
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise nursing plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to revise patient goals, objectives, and interventions in response to changes in patient status.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families on health-related topics and provide support during the care process.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with healthcare team members.
  • Orient and mentor new staff members to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
Requirements
  • Current Indiana RN licensure or active Compact State RN licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (RN).
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Crisis Prevention Certification training completion within 30 days of hire.
