About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team at Gainwell Technologies. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in the development of our healthcare administration products used by millions of clinical providers and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test moderately complex programs using Java enterprise programming
  • Analyze, design, and write specifications and requirements for program development
  • Evaluate existing systems and programs, and assist project managers in assigning tasks and working closely with a team
  • Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements, and resolve issues that arise
  • Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
  • Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
  • Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members
Requirements
  • 9 or more years of experience with Java enterprise programming, including the latest features, libraries, and frameworks such as Spring ecosystem (JPA, MVC, Spring Boot, etc.), EJB, build tools (Maven or Gradle)
  • 9 or more years of experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP
  • 3 or more years of experience and knowledge in DB programming (SQL/PLSQL or equivalent)
  • 3 or more years of understanding of DevOps principles, especially CI/CD, and experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
  • 9 or more years of product design and support experience
