Software Tester - Quality Assurance Expert

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our software solutions and must be proficient in SQL to analyze complex data structures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the final product meets the requirements and expectations of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute manual test cases and scenarios for healthcare insurance applications to ensure that the software is free from defects and meets client requirements.

Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Collaborate with the development team to review requirements and provide feedback on design, functionality, and user experience.

Develop, execute, and maintain SQL scripts to validate data quality, integrity, and consistency across various data sources.

Analyze complex data sets to identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and potential issues that could impact software functionality.

Utilize SQL to create ad-hoc queries and reports for issue analysis, root cause identification, and data validation.

Document test results and maintain an organized repository of test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.

Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders regarding test progress, test results, and defect resolution.

Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives.

Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance software quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in the healthcare insurance industry.

Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and analyze large data sets.

Knowledge of healthcare insurance domain, including claims processing, enrollment, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.

Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
