We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center, a 300+ bed full-service hospital in El Paso. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent patient care.
Job SummaryThe Diagnostic Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a physician. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients with various medical conditions, including cardiovascular, GI, GU, and GYN conditions.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to its full capability, selecting the proper transducer frequency and diameter for each examination.
- Position patients for examination, explain procedures, and give necessary instructions for carrying out the procedure.
- Review patient charts to obtain pertinent clinical history, correlative test results, and laboratory data.
- Process images to the PACS and demonstrate customer service principles and behaviors appropriately.
- Registered by the ARDMS or ARRT
- Certification in Sonography
- Current CPR certification
- Graduate of an accredited Sonography program
- Two-years or more experience/training in diagnostic ultrasound in at least two specialty areas

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
