About the Job
As a Respiratory Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Respiratory Care Department. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for appropriate respiratory therapy and develop personalized care plans.
- Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress, record vital signs, and communicate with healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and provide resources for continued support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory management, and sterilization procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience and education.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a full-time, night shift position with 36 scheduled hours per week. The Respiratory Therapist will work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
