Position Overview

The Quality Talent Group is in search of a dedicated Clinical Dietitian to enhance our Clinical Nutrition Team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional nutrition care to our inpatient population, working alongside a dynamic multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Role Summary:

The selected candidate will engage in comprehensive assessments and tailor nutritional interventions for a diverse range of patients, including those requiring specialized diets and enteral nutrition. The focus will be on promoting health, managing existing conditions, and addressing acute or chronic illnesses through evidence-based nutrition practices.

Educational Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required. A solid understanding of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science, and social science as they pertain to human nutrition is essential.

Experience:

This position is open to candidates with entry-level clinical nutrition experience and beyond. For the Clinical Dietitian Specialist I role, a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian is necessary, including at least one year in a specialized area.

Licensure/Certification:

Applicants must hold registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and must be a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in the relevant state or be eligible for licensure prior to employment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science, and social science as they relate to human nutrition and metabolism.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather information from various sources, apply professional principles in analyses, and summarize findings to assess patient conditions, plan appropriate diets, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with interdisciplinary team members, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to educate patients and mentor students in nutritional practices.
  • Capability to assist in supervising support staff and students.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and retrieval.

Work Schedule:

This is a Full-Time position (40 hours per week) with day shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Weekend work is required.
