Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in harvest activities, including preparation, seed sampling, and truck unloading
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field, and warehouse operations
  • Monitor and maintain highly automated equipment, including harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing processes
  • Contribute to production activities, such as seed conditioning, treating, packaging, and rework
  • Assist with product return and sorting activities
  • Support field activities, including scouting, inspection, and logistics management
  • Operate automation and computerized systems to perform work tasks
  • Perform warehouse activities, including forklift operation, sample collection, and pooling
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; GED or equivalent within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and conditions
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn company-specific applications
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Valid US Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two-year technical or associate's degree in agriculture, manufacturing, or related field
  • One year of education and/or experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or related industry
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles and experience with field and/or agriculture equipment
