This position is responsible for providing professional patient care and assisting medical staff in performing cardiac diagnostic, interventional, and invasive radiology procedures. The Cardiovascular Technologist I utilizes the patient care process to ensure safe and competent quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in all procedures performed in the invasive cardiology area
- Support the medical care of patients requiring cardiac or peripheral catheterization and/or intervention
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Sciences or Allied Health Science program required
- Minimum of one to three years experience in Cardiac Catheterization procedures preferred
- Basic knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy and EKG rhythms required
- Medical Radiologist Technologist (MRT) certification through Texas Medical Board required
- Registry from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS) required
- Limited Medical Radiological Technologist (LMRT) eligibility or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) eligibility required
- BLS for Healthcare Worker required
- ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment
