Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Job Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Job Duration: 16 weeks

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: At least 1 year of Pediatric ICU and stepdown experience required

License: Compact license must be in hand upon submission

Certifications: COVID-19 Vaccine required (Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations allowed); Flu Vaccine status unknown

Must-Have:

  • Pediatric ICU and stepdown experience
  • References covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Job Responsibilities:

  • Float between units as required
  • No on-call duties required
  • Occasional weekends required, including Saturday and Sunday
  • Block schedules required
  • Expected patient ratios: 1:2, 1:3
  • Commit to working three of the five holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
  • All registered nurses to wear navy scrubs; respiratory therapists to wear galaxy blue/royal blue
  • Orientation consists of 40 non-billable hours
  • The facility is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total beds
  • All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within a given state
  • Communication devices will be provided if required for the assignment
