Job Summary

We are seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team at The Hope Learning Center LLC. As a dedicated and innovative educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized elementary level programming for each student in conjunction with the IEP team.

Your Responsibilities
As an Elementary Special Education Teacher, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Classroom Management: Provide one-on-one behavioral, emotional, life skills, or academic support and remediation for students in the classroom.
  • Documentation: Complete Extended School Year (ESY) determinations and progress monitoring data collection for all students on your caseload.
  • Compliance: Uphold the education, operation, and facility standards set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  • External Communication: Write and maintain student progress notes and reports, as well as information for parents and other staff.
  • Collaboration: Work with administration, teachers, therapists, families, and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery effectiveness.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Pennsylvania Special Education Training certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental delays.

Clearances & Training Required
Please note that the following clearances and training are mandatory:
  • Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
  • Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance.
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education.
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.
  • Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children.
  • State License of Practice and/or Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid.
  • TB/Physical.
