Position Overview

Johnson Service Group is seeking a highly skilled Staff Test Engineer with extensive experience in both hardware and software integration. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years in engineering roles, showcasing a strong background in developing and testing complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize expert knowledge of LabView and Python for software development and testing.
  • Employ Git for source control and manage software testing tools effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in LabVIEW Object-Oriented Programming, Actor Framework, MAP functions, and packed libraries.
  • Design, support, and enhance high-complexity test systems and equipment.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining awareness of project portfolios and related issues.
Technical Expertise

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing hardware integration and testing algorithms for proprietary measurement systems.
  • Ensuring designs meet criteria for manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
  • Independently troubleshooting and analyzing system problems.
  • Participating in the creation and evaluation of new product test requirements and methodologies.
  • Estimating needs for new test equipment.
  • Conducting complex research assignments that require innovative techniques and procedures.
  • Promoting and implementing process enhancements.
  • Defining and evaluating engineering processes and procedures.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 depending on experience.
