Job Description

As a Medical Assistant at Compass Pain and Spine, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. Your responsibilities will include preparing patient charts and notes, providing routine support to nurses and medical staff, and assisting with tracking lab results and test reports. You will also be scheduling patient appointments, answering general questions, obtaining authorizations and pre-authorizations for patient care services, and interviewing patients to obtain their medical history.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent customer service skills, we encourage you to apply. The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.

Responsibilities

- Prepare patient charts and notes for each visit
- Provide routine support to nurses and medical staff
- Assist with tracking lab results and test reports

- Obtain authorizations and pre-authorizations for patient care services
- Interview patients to obtain their medical history

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting preferred
- CPR and BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
- Excellent customer service skills
