Overview
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced professional in Sustainable Technologies to become a vital part of our organization. This position is essential for driving the company's evolution and expansion by spearheading initiatives to identify, organize, and execute sustainability projects within our industrial manufacturing and commercial/hospitality divisions. Your contributions will be pivotal in advancing our environmental responsibility and operational effectiveness through cutting-edge solutions. The perfect candidate will possess extensive knowledge of commercial and industrial utility systems, alongside substantial experience in conducting energy assessments, interpreting data, and formulating innovative proposals for energy efficiency projects.
These responsibilities will be executed on a global scale, with potential international travel. While onsite presence is preferred, a hybrid remote/on-site arrangement may be available for the right candidate, with on-site attendance required as project needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities
•Effective Communication: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels, ensuring the clear and impactful dissemination of project objectives and updates. Simplify complex concepts for better understanding and alignment. Candidates must showcase their ability to communicate proficiently with both operational teams and senior management, utilizing interpersonal skills to navigate organizational dynamics effectively in support of energy efficiency and sustainability projects.
•Conducting Efficiency Assessments: Execute comprehensive evaluations of utility and building systems, which may encompass boilers, chillers, water management systems, lighting, HVAC, and other systems prevalent in manufacturing or commercial settings. Analyze data, gather pertinent information, and evaluate the overall efficiency of these systems. Identify opportunities for enhancing energy and water utilization and propose actionable solutions.
•Project Formulation: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create detailed project proposals and prepare well-researched, data-informed recommendations aimed at improving efficiency, minimizing waste, and optimizing water usage.
•Project Management: Supervise the implementation of approved efficiency enhancement projects, ensuring adherence to proposed specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
•Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously assess the progress and effectiveness of efficiency enhancement projects, analyzing data and producing regular reports to track performance and return on investment.
•Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with internal experts to ensure all projects adhere to applicable regulations and safety standards, fostering a safe working environment throughout and following project execution.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
•8+ years of demonstrated experience in energy efficiency, utility management, or sustainability within industrial or commercial sectors.
•Strong grasp of commercial and industrial utility systems, including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and lighting.
•Familiarity with water reuse systems, encompassing water treatment, wastewater management, and water recycling.
•Proven project management capabilities, with the ability to lead initiatives from conception to completion.
•Commitment to remaining informed about the latest advancements in energy efficiency technologies and sustainability practices.
•Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
•Experience in project management and the ability to oversee multiple initiatives concurrently.
•A passion for sustainability and a dedication to fostering positive environmental outcomes.
•Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, PowerBI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
•Familiarity with FM Global and safety standards in industrial manufacturing environments is advantageous.
•CEM or other relevant certifications, along with knowledge of pertinent codes and industry standards, are highly desired. PMP certification is a plus.
The salary range for this position is $113,000 - $143,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors including the candidate's experience, education, and work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
