We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on the Powell 4 Stroke/Neuro Medical unit at UnityPoint Health - Des Moines. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other professionals in planning and implementing care within hospital policy and legal limitations.
- Assess needs of patients and families, provide appropriate teaching to facilitate discharge planning, and make necessary referrals to community agencies to provide continuity of care.
- Utilize a holistic approach to care, considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
- Current active Iowa License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of six months RN experience.
