Job Summary:
Geisinger Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient clinic team. Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary clinical support to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for healthcare providers.
  • Assist healthcare providers in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, complete associated paperwork, and expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a healthcare provider and per scope of practice.
  • Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patients.

Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification and Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
