About the Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Academic Professional to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member at Navarro College.

Job Summary

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position teaching academic transfer courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, creating engaging learning environments, and providing exceptional student support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in a way that promotes student-centered learning and encourages critical thinking skills.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Evaluate student learning outcomes and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
  • Meet regularly with students to provide guidance and support outside of class time.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree with 18 or more graduate-level hours in the discipline being taught.
  • Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with numerous interruptions. Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $2,100 per 3 credit hours taught, per semester, with the possibility of teaching up to 3 courses per semester.
