Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting sales, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
  • Ask each customer for cash donations at the point of sale.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods via the type of merchandise, identifying markings, or asking for help from an on-site leader.
  • Complete closing procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Greet customers entering the store and thank customers leaving the establishment.
  • Maintain sales floor standards by following floorwork and PPM (picture process map) standards.
  • Stock merchandise in appropriate areas as assigned.
  • Utilize systems, including phones and paging systems, to make regularly scheduled announcements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • High School education or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent math skills preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
