Leasing Consultant

Job Summary: The Leasing Consultant is responsible for assisting the property manager and assistant manager with day-to-day operations to ensure financial performance of the building and/or apartment community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to residents and prospective residents.
• Assist with lease renewal correspondence and ensure all renewal documents are signed and completed in the management software.
• Process rental applications and accurate verification as specified in rental criteria.
• Master phone techniques, closing techniques, and follow-up procedures.
• Market the property under the guidance of the property manager, including promotions, outreach marketing, and finding ways to promote the property to generate traffic.
• Responsible for move-in files and proper procedure in the move-in process.
• Conduct move-out inspections, accept keys, assess charges, take pictures, and accurate notes for each move-out.
• Typing work orders, printing, completing, and proper follow-up with residents after completion of work order.
• Complete an accurate market survey to include all pertinent information regarding current competition.
• Prepare a weekly status report due each Monday with accurate reporting of the leasing activity for the week and the current statistics.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred customer service experience.

Skills:

• Microsoft Office.
• Yardi-preferred.
