Warehouse Director

Kent Outdoors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Warehouse and Distribution to oversee the management of our Tyler, Texas facilities and distribution operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve key performance indicators, including shrink, incident rates, overtime, pick rates, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse operations and distribution processes
• Manage inventory levels and control costs through effective cycle counting and inventory management
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards for warehousing, material handling, and shipping
• Implement and manage a robust safety program to ensure a safe working environment
• Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and fire departments to ensure facility compliance
• Manage and maintain warehouse staff, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) across all phases of operations

• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or Director of Warehousing
• Expertise in creating warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience implementing or managing a safety program
