Job Description

At Boone County Health Center, we are committed to delivering exceptional mental health services to our community. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with clients to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide empathetic support and guidance to clients navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care and continuity of services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the State of Nebraska as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy to diverse populations, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate treatment plans based on clients' unique strengths and needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to client care.
  • Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and effectively manage time and caseload responsibilities.
