Job Title: Diesel Technician Mechanic

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Mechanic to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Technician Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire work
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
- Utilize diagnostic computers and software to troubleshoot issues
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines
- Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

- Availability to work shift work/weekends and on-call duty as required
