We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Rush University Medical Center. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the conduct of clinical research studies, providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the integrity of our research protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients participating in clinical research studies, including standard of care procedures, research procedures, and study medication administration.
- Implement nursing plans of care in connection with study protocols and utilize clinical assessments to ensure patients receive follow-up care as needed.
- Communicate research-related information to patients, families, nursing and medical staff, including physicians, as necessary.
- Educate physicians and other clinical staff on study protocols and plans of care for research participants.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and study team to ensure protocol adherence and data quality assurance.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Current IL RN license
- Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Professionals
- Two years of clinical nursing practice experience required
- Able to demonstrate introductory knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and/or Good Documentation Practices, human subjects protections, institutional, local, state and federal guidelines and regulations related to clinical research
