Staff Today Inc is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history
- Assess inmate's current needs and make treatment recommendations
- Conduct clinically sound suicide risk evaluations and provide consultations as needed
- Meet with mentally ill inmates/wards for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews
- Identify relevant signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders and apply psychological assessments in the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests
- Write clinical reports regarding diagnoses, prognoses, and develop treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice
- Consult on complex cases with supervisor, treatment team members, and with CDCR institutional healthcare personnel
- Document all care provided to the inmate, including face-to-face contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IOTT) meetings
- Minimum 1-year previous working experience within the last 36 months as a Psychologist
- Must be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively
- Ability to build rapport with clients and strong leadership qualities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
- Must have the required licenses, permits, and/or certifications in the state of CA
