About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer/Integrator to join our team at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with developers to fulfill data integration requirements, writing and maintaining code using an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) platform, and ensuring data is transformed into suitable formats as defined by IC ITE initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain ETL code to integrate data from various sources
  • Interface with external teams and systems to collect data efficiently
  • Enhance the ETL platform by adding features to shorten timelines for future data integration efforts
  • Develop and maintain software to ensure seamless integration into a fully functional system
  • Collaborate with external teams to validate data ingest processes
  • Provide comprehensive documentation covering system architecture, development, and enhancements made throughout the process

Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
  • Master's Degree in computer science, data science, or related field
  • Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS clearance
  • Linux/Unix experience
  • Object Oriented programming language experience
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in the face of ambiguity
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn new skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain SCI with Poly clearance
  • Expertise in data ingestion, data transformation (ETL), and data modeling
  • Experience with Ruby, Java, or Python
  • One year working with Restful web services
  • Experience with code development, deployment, versioning
  • Working in cloud architecture with AWS EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Elastic Search
  • Experience with XML data formats including processing and translation with XSLT and XPath
  • Any experience leading a team
