Position Summary:
The selected candidates will serve as maintenance specialists within a stamping division. Their responsibilities will encompass approximately 50% reactive maintenance, focusing on troubleshooting equipment issues, while the remaining 50% will involve project work and preventive maintenance (PM). The goal is to gradually shift this ratio towards a 60/40 split favoring PM and project tasks. The primary equipment they will work on includes presses and CNC machinery, along with occasional repairs on robotic welding units.
Reactive Maintenance Responsibilities:
In terms of reactive maintenance, candidates can anticipate engaging in extensive troubleshooting of electrical systems. This includes working with components such as fuses, motors, and sensors. Basic mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic systems will also be part of the role. Proficiency in wiring machines, pulling wires, and bending conduit is essential. While direct interaction with PLCs is not required, familiarity with reading ladder logic would be advantageous.
Preventive Maintenance and Project Tasks:
Tasks may include greasing machinery, replacing bearings, and changing fuses, among others. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to assist with various tasks, which may occasionally involve facilities maintenance or other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting
- Capability to wire machinery
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in CNC repair, including the replacement of ball screws and pins
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and modifying PLCs (specifically Allen Bradley)
