The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Pediatric Speech Therapist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality outpatient clinical speech and language pathology services to our customer-owners in center-based settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children with special needs, developmental delay, or disability.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care and treatment interventions to assist with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for our customer-owners.
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university or college program recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Alaska.
  • At least one year of experience working with children with special needs, developmental delay, or disability.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS may be required for specialty areas.

Employee Health Requirements:

  • Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment.
  • Documentation of completed immunizations, including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination, is required prior to the first day of employment.
